Times to Remember

Posted by Robin . on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, In : Photography
I've had several more senior portrait sessions lately and I'm just loving that these kids will have these pictures to look back on years from now, when they are old ladies like me, and remember these amazing times from such a fun part of their lives.

I'm so in love with the images from this session, I had to share.

Enjoy!

And, if you're in the south TX area (specifically, Beeville/Sinton/Corpus/Goliad/Georgewest/etc.), it's never too late to book a session for Senior pics! Or any pics for that...

Times Like These...

Posted by Robin . on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, In : Photography
Remember senior year? Graduation looming, the future ahead of you, having the time of your life with your closest friends? For me, hokey pics in graduation robes in front of a boring background are so 1980. Senior pics these days should be striking and something that you can look back on when you're old and longing for those carefree high school days and say "Dang, I'm glad I did that!".

I had some senior photo sessions this weekend that were so much fun. Two girls, best friends that are as c...

Baby Bump

Posted by Robin . on Thursday, April 14, 2011, In : Photography
No.

Not mine.

No baby bump here. Please calm down.

But, a great friend of mine (who happens to be married to my husband's cousin) is about to p-o-p! From the minute she told me she was pregnant, I couldn't wait to do her maternity pictures. We finally had our session this week and it was so much fun. I'm also totally in love with how all the pictures turned out.

So

much

fun!

I've been so busy with Easter sessions for the past two weeks (kids AND bunnies! Yikes!), it was a nice change of pace to do...

Finally getting around to this...

Posted by Robin . on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, In : Photography
I realized that I never posted the pics from the final part of our mini vacay! The second day of our trip was full of family and animals! A bunch of our family met us up at the San Antonio zoo and we all had a blast. The kids loved it and, since going, Snappy is pretty much set on going back daily.

Ok, folks, that's it. No more smothering you with vacay pics! I'm sure I have other pics I can smother you with. ;-)

Here comes Peter Cottontail....

I'm running an Easter photography special this month and wanted to get a few snapshots of the bunnies we'll be using so I grabbed my Snappy and let her be in bunny heaven for a little bit. I'm so in love with these shots, I had to share!

This one is soooo my fave! I'm thinking it's vital that I blow this one up!

She loved it!

I can't wait for all the other adorable kids I'm going to be photographing with these fluffy bunnies!

Our First Vacay - Part Two

Posted by Robin . on Friday, March 25, 2011, In : Photography
When we got to San Antonio, we snagged a hotel within walking distance of the Riverwalk and headed on down to scope things out.

After walking

and walking

and walking

and, you guessed it, walking some more....

We grabbed a bite to eat, found an awesome little shop where I eventually ended up buying dresses for Snappy and myself and hit up Ripley's and the wax museum.

Snappy was not happy about those last two stops.

She was totally freaked out. Except for when 0007 took her through this tunnel thin...

Jumping back in and looking ahead

Posted by Robin . on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, In : Photography
Well, after two weeks of dealing with sickness in our home, everyone is well and we are thoroughly enjoying Spring Break. (Which means, I'm thoroughly enjoying sleeping late.) Seriously, school needs to start at 10 or 11. I don't know how I'll switch back to getting up early.

We've got plans to head up to San Antonio next weekend and hit the zoo and Riverwalk. Definitely looking forward to that. Snappy is nearing 4 years old and we have yet to take even a mini-vacay. I know. It's ridiculous. ...

Snow, Set-Ups and Snapshots

Posted by Robin . on Thursday, February 3, 2011, In : Photography
My blogging seems to have fallen low on my to-do list lately. I'm certainly busy but, it's not very exciting stuff. Not boring...just...mundane. It's cleaning and working and rearing unruly children and fretting over the weather. None of which make for exciting blog entries. I hate that I've pawned off so many photo posts as real blog posts but, I'm hoping y'all are enjoying the pics.

We're supposed to have snow here tonight and tomorrow. In South Texas. It hasn't snowed here since TRex's fir...

Senior Portraits

Posted by Robin . on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, In : Photography
I had a senior portrait session this past weekend and it was so much fun. This guy is so laid back and funny and was totally open to all of my ideas. We had a family session with the rest of his fam immediately after (I'll post some from that later). Senior sessions may be my new fave. I love to do families and kids but, there's something about a photo session that is just one person (who's old enough to take directions!). I'm looking forward to a bunch more of these.

3 Month Shoot for a First Year Package

Posted by Robin . on Friday, January 21, 2011, In : Photography
At the end of December, I had the 3 month photo shoot of a "Watch Me Grow" First Year package. First, this little guy is adorable. Second, I'm so stinkin' excited to be able to watch his sessions change throughout his first year. He's the first that I've done this first year package with and he's already changed oh so much since his first shoot. For the 3 month, Mom wanted to go with a Christmas theme. And, I have to say, I freakin' love the clothes that Mom picks for this little dude.

Wedding Pictures

Posted by Robin . on Monday, January 17, 2011, In : Photography
Toward the end of 2010, we were thrilled to be able to capture the wedding day of this awesome couple. This is a family my husband has known for a long time and the love between them all is so evident by how much total fun they have together. It was a good 'ol fashioned southern wedding with lots of cowboy hats, boots, booze and down home fun! I personally loved the use of Willow Tree angels on the cake and the touch of winter theme in the decor. Wedding photography is so fun because of the ...

Bright Green Walls Are Awesome

Posted by Robin . on Sunday, January 2, 2011, In : Photography
My last photo shoot of 2010 was a spur of the moment thing that happened after my last scheduled shoot of 2010. I've had my eye on this particular wall in a small town where I do many of my shoots and when the opportunity presented itself the other day, I jumped on it.

I didn't have long though. My kids are absolutely sick of having a camera in their faces. They turn into silly-faced, goofy acting whackadoos lately when I put the camera on them. So, a five minute session was about all they co...

May your days be merry and bright!

Posted by Robin . on Saturday, December 4, 2010, In : Photography
Are you beginning to see a theme here with these titles?

Heck yeah, I'm in the Christmas spirit! Even though I'm insanely busy (yeah, that ol' gripe again) and feel like my head's going to spin off and the kids are going to give me a stroke and I'll never sleep again...aside from that stuff...I'm totally in the Christmas spirit!

I really love Christmas.

I love the magic of it.

I love Santa and the reindeer and little one's wishing for zillions of toys.

I love decorations and the smells and the...

Southern warmth for your snowy weather....

Posted by Robin . on Friday, November 26, 2010, In : Photography
Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving! After my two week no coke/no good coffee creamer diet, I super indulged in all the amazing food at BOTH of the Thanksgivings that we go to! It's back to business today though. Even the half-glass of coke I had last night isn't going to make me fall back off the wagon!

If you're partaking in the Black Friday craziness....um...well...peace be with you.

We got our first "major" cold front last night. It went from 80s and humid to 40s and dry as hell. I'...

Busy Little Bee

Posted by Robin . on Friday, November 19, 2010, In : Photography
Yep, that's me lately. Busy lady over here.

It's great, really. Our photography business has started to really take off and we've been booked a lot lately. It means a ton more work for me but, I'm loving it.

It's totally blowing my mind how fast the weeks are shooting past me though. I cannot believe it's almost Christmas.

Don't even say "It's still a month away."

It's freakin' here, dude. It's right around the corner and it will be here as fast as tomorrow. I'm so not ready. Looking forward t...

Snappy and TRex

Posted by Robin . on Monday, November 15, 2010, In : Photography
I've taken the kids with me on a couple of photo shoots lately and was able to get a few good pics. A few fun shots of Snappy one day and a nearly failed attempt at Christmas card shots another day.

I say a few good ones because some of them look like this...

And this...

That whole reel cracked me up. It's worth it though when I get to pull a few pics like this...

Could she look any older in that last pic? Or any sassier? Oy vey.

At least I got some cute ones of her a few days before this shoot. M...

We rocked our Halloween's socks off

Posted by Robin . on Monday, November 1, 2010, In : Photography
Disclaimer: This may or may not be a picture overload post.

I hope everyone had an awesome time this weekend! Lots of parties and ghoulish fun, I suppose?

Ours rocked.

0007's brother throws a Halloween party every year and, I swear, every year it gets better. It's uber kid-friendly but, a blast for us adults as well. Our kids love it because, on top of the costumes and candy and junk food as far as the eye can see, they get to hang out with their cousins and their other friends. We love it be...

Bro's Grafix pics and a bit of a rant

Posted by Robin . on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, In : Photography
Quick note: Today (10/27) is the last day of the Home Makeover Giveaway!

So, I mentioned that last weekend I had a photo shoot at an engagement party for our photography business that 0007 and I have recently started, Bro's Grafix. It was really nice. Lots of people that I peripherally know through 0007 (his hometown peeps) and they were all fantastic. Gorgeous couple (seriously, their children will be beautiful!) and some adorable kids to snap pics of. Slightly challenging since the majority...

Editing with Textures

Posted by Robin . on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, In : Photography
I had a photo shoot the other day with an adorable family. I so love outdoor shoots.

I've been playing with textures in my editing and I'm loving them. For me, photography is art. I love the editing process because it's such a big part of creating that art. The textures are so fun. I'm addicted. I love how they can be super subtle or a major part of the picture.

If you use textures in your editing, leave me a link so I can see!

Wait. Get the camera.

Posted by Robin . on Friday, August 20, 2010, In : Photography
Phew. This week kinda flew by, eh? Snappy's bday Monday was capped off with ice cream and grandparents (and a few gifts we had managed to hold on to). She had a great time. I don't think she was expecting the little celebration because we had already had the party. In true Snappy form, when she was handed the first present to open she said, "Wait. Get the camera." That should be written on our family crest.

Yesterday I had a photoshoot with the cutest little family. It was a blast. They own to...

Three Years Ago

Posted by Robin . on Monday, August 16, 2010, In : Photography
Three years ago, I met my new best friend.

Three years ago, the playing field of our family got level.

Three years ago, TRex became a big brother.

Three years ago, 0007 got wrapped around a pinkie for life.

Three years ago, hair bows and tutus invaded our life.

Three years ago, life got sweeter.

Three years ago, I had no idea how fast the next three years would pass.

Three years ago, we were just greeting our Snappy.

She's three today.

And, our lives have been happier having her in them the last thre...

Brace Yourself

Posted by Robin . on Monday, August 2, 2010, In : Photography
Seriously.

Because we're about to go into picture overload.

Last weekend, 0007 and I both did some photo shooting at some birthday parties. Scott has been nagging me like a repressed housewife all week long to post these pics. So, here ya go.

First, some from the party 0007 did...

And, some from the party I did...

There you have it. If you've made it this far, your reward will be mailed to you in 4-6 weeks. If you want to check out more of our photography you can see it on the Bro's Grafix websi...

That was a good one, fo sho!

Posted by Robin . on Monday, June 14, 2010, In : Photography

Our weekend started with a visit from my nephew. My brother and sister-in-law went to see Iron Maiden on Friday night and we got to keep this super cutie...

The cutie went home and we all donned our swimsuits and headed to a birthday pool party. 0007's cousin's son turned one and the party was a blast.

TRex is really becoming quite the little fish.

It's a hard job to kick back by the pool but, somebody's gotta do it.

Snappy is a party girl.

She was not happy after 0007 did this.

One of the cutest ...
