My husband started sharing his childhood loves with our son a very long time ago. One thing that they've always shared an intense interest in is Transformers. From the toys to the tv shows to the blockbuster movies, Transformers enthrall and enchant both my husband and my son. In the mid 90s, a Transformers tv show debuted and ran for three years. My husband and son may have missed it back then but, thanks to Shout! Factory, they can both experience all the fun of Transformers: Beast Wars now!

I'm always looking for shows that my kids can watch and enjoy that don't entirely irritate me. A while back, they discovered a new show that I absolutely love and that completely cracks them up. The Wild Thornberrys is a classic Nickelodeon show that, like all of the classic Nickelodeon shows, is entertaining for both kids and parents.

I've been an on-location, natural light photographer for a while now. Shooting in natural light is easy and makes editing painless. Moving indoors, without all the fancy schmancy equipment, is another story. I had put off indoor shooting for quite some time, aside from the Momtogue shots I take of my kiddos or at family functions. I know so many people who can describe to you their first memory of one movie in particular. No movie really seems quite as beloved as Bambi. Last year when I did my home makeover, one of the things that I left undone was my ceiling. It remains unfinished for several reasons, though I desperately want to redo the entire thing. Our ceilings are the old popcorn ceilings. While doing my renovations, I considered two options for my ceilings, neither very appealing. I've got a family of four, I cook most of our meals from scratch and I've got no dishwasher. I spend a lot of time in front of my sink. Washing dishes.I don't mind washing dishes. You know, there are a few movies from our childhood that just don't lose their sparkle and magic. One of my favorite movies that will forever be magical for me is Mary Poppins. For others, it's The Sound of Music. Added to that list of classic children's movies that will forever stand the test of time is absolutely Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It seems that Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews pretty much made movie gold out of all the kid movies they made.
