i heart faces photo challenge 5-9-11

Running late and quickly linking up with i heart faces! This week's challenge is "Motherhood". I don't have any pics of me yelling as my hair turns gray or pics of my son saying "Mom.mommy.momma.mom.mom.mom.Robin.Mommy.mom.momma.Mom...." or pics of my daughter bossing me around.

Times to Remember

I've had several more senior portrait sessions lately and I'm just loving that these kids will have these pictures to look back on years from now, when they are old ladies like me, and remember these amazing times from such a fun part of their lives.

I'm so in love with the images from this session, I had to share.

I have been missing my i heart faces challenges the past few weeks! My weekends are crazy lately and I just keep forgetting. Luckily, I'm up late editing pics tonight and happened to remember!

This week's photo challenge at i heart faces is "Soft and Sweet". Love it. I have several pics I'd love to put in this challenge so it was hard to choose just one. This is from a photo session last month and I just adore the little tea party with bunnies.

Remember senior year? Graduation looming, the future ahead of you, having the time of your life with your closest friends? For me, hokey pics in graduation robes in front of a boring background are so 1980. Senior pics these days should be striking and something that you can look back on when you're old and longing for those carefree high school days and say "Dang, I'm glad I did that!".

I had some senior photo sessions this weekend that were so much fun. Two girls, best friends that are as close as sisters, on their way to college together and looking with bright eyes towards their stellar future. They are gorgeous girls with amazing personalities to match and the whole afternoon was just awesome.

No baby bump here. Please calm down.

But, a great friend of mine (who happens to be married to my husband's cousin) is about to p-o-p! From the minute she told me she was pregnant, I couldn't wait to do her maternity pictures. We finally had our session this week and it was so much fun. I'm also totally in love with how all the pictures turned out.

I've been so busy with Easter sessions for the past two weeks (kids AND bunnies! Yikes!), it was a nice change of pace to do this one. Can't wait to meet the new little guy!

I realized that I never posted the pics from the final part of our mini vacay! The second day of our trip was full of family and animals! A bunch of our family met us up at the San Antonio zoo and we all had a blast. The kids loved it and, since going, Snappy is pretty much set on going back daily.

Ok, folks, that's it. No more smothering you with vacay pics! I'm sure I have other pics I can smother you with. ;-)

It was rather difficult for me to pick one image for this week's challenge. I have a plethora of amazing shots from March and many have entered my list of favorites. This is from the last week of March. I actually posted it just a few days ago with the other pics of my daughter with the bunnies I was using for Easter photo sessions. I just can't stop looking at this picture. It all happened so perfectly. Love.

I'm running an Easter photography special this month and wanted to get a few snapshots of the bunnies we'll be using so I grabbed my Snappy and let her be in bunny heaven for a little bit. I'm so in love with these shots, I had to share!

This one is soooo my fave! I'm thinking it's vital that I blow this one up!

She loved it!

I can't wait for all the other adorable kids I'm going to be photographing with these fluffy bunnies!

i heart faces - Slice of Life

This week's photo challenge over at i heart faces is "Slice of Life".

It took me a while to go through my pics for this one. A "photojournalistic approach" is something I've been trying to work at, especially at gatherings, events, parties, etc. The photo I chose is one I took at a recent First Birthday Party Session I shot. This pic of the kids going crazy on the bouncy castle just kind of epitomizes a kid birthday party for me.
