Senior Portraits

Posted by Robin . on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, In : Photography
I had a senior portrait session this past weekend and it was so much fun. This guy is so laid back and funny and was totally open to all of my ideas. We had a family session with the rest of his fam immediately after (I'll post some from that later). Senior sessions may be my new fave. I love to do families and kids but, there's something about a photo session that is just one person (who's old enough to take directions!). I'm looking forward to a bunch more of these.

3 Month Shoot for a First Year Package

Posted by Robin . on Friday, January 21, 2011, In : Photography
At the end of December, I had the 3 month photo shoot of a "Watch Me Grow" First Year package. First, this little guy is adorable. Second, I'm so stinkin' excited to be able to watch his sessions change throughout his first year. He's the first that I've done this first year package with and he's already changed oh so much since his first shoot. For the 3 month, Mom wanted to go with a Christmas theme. And, I have to say, I freakin' love the clothes that Mom picks for this little dude.

Wedding Pictures

Posted by Robin . on Monday, January 17, 2011, In : Photography
Toward the end of 2010, we were thrilled to be able to capture the wedding day of this awesome couple. This is a family my husband has known for a long time and the love between them all is so evident by how much total fun they have together. It was a good 'ol fashioned southern wedding with lots of cowboy hats, boots, booze and down home fun! I personally loved the use of Willow Tree angels on the cake and the touch of winter theme in the decor. Wedding photography is so fun because of the ...

Random Ramblings 1-12-11

Posted by Robin . on Wednesday, January 12, 2011,
There's no school next Monday. I've been reminding myself every day. I'll probably put sticky notes throughout the house this weekend.

Are my dogs like my kids or are my kids like my dogs because they all seem to enjoy tearing stuff up. My yard looks like a disaster zone. Gave the dogs an old comforter since it's been cold recently. Shit heads tore it open and pulled out most of the stuffing. Smart move, dogs! I'm sure the random pieces of stuffing throughout the yard will keep you quite warm...

Not my first choice for how to start a week....

Posted by Robin . on Monday, January 3, 2011,
Monday. Blah. They used to not bother me. When I was a stay at home mom of two kids and had no real schedule, Mondays only meant that 0007 had to return to work. Now that one of those kids is in school, it means that I have to do one of the things I hate the most.

Get.up.early.

So, after 2 weeks off of school, two weeks of sleeping in, two weeks of bickering between the kids all day long, the first Monday of 2011 arrived and I was reluctant to get up but, glad to get ...

Bright Green Walls Are Awesome

Posted by Robin . on Sunday, January 2, 2011, In : Photography
My last photo shoot of 2010 was a spur of the moment thing that happened after my last scheduled shoot of 2010. I've had my eye on this particular wall in a small town where I do many of my shoots and when the opportunity presented itself the other day, I jumped on it.

I didn't have long though. My kids are absolutely sick of having a camera in their faces. They turn into silly-faced, goofy acting whackadoos lately when I put the camera on them. So, a five minute session was about all they co...
