This morning, I was more of a teenager than a mom.

Yep, I overslept.

Woke up two minutes before I usually take TRex to school.

0007 is having an allergy attack so, he wasn't up getting ready for work. I got up, got TRex up and got us both ready in 20 minutes.

The crap thing is that every morning I get up and get dressed and do my makeup and get all the way ready just to go drop him off. I don't have to do any of that stuff on those mornings that I have time to do it. But, today I knew I would have to go into the office and get him a tardy slip. I couldn't do that in my jammies! I had to put my clothes and my face on! We made it though. He was only 15 minutes late.

And, through the waking up and rushing around and getting ready, I seriously contemplated just going back to bed and letting him stay home.

Seriously, more teenager than mom. Is that what they mean by "young at heart"?

But, I'm ti-i-ired! <super whiny voice>

This home makeover has beaten me down. I need to be done with it so I can get some frackin' rest! But, it's not all work and no play. Last weekend, I took Sunday off and went with the fam over to the in-laws' for Sunday dinner. And, had a blast. 0007's family is so cool and the kids have so many cousins and just had so much fun.

And, because my focus has been blinded by my painting lately and I've been terrible about kid pics, I gotta share some. And then we'll get on with 5QF!

But, really, you know you wanna get a little Snappy and TRex fix.

The swimming for Snappy was unplanned. That's why she's a heathen with no swimsuit.

Ok, now that we've got that done, let's get on with 5QF! Hop your bloggy butt over to Mama M's place to link up and find out more about the Fridaytastic meme!

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)? Where were/are they from?

When I was in 5th grade, our class had pen pals in the Gulf War. I don't remember his name or anything but, I do remember writing and getting letters from our soldiers. I think that's really cool that we did that.

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?

Movie star. If I could pick the day that I did that job it would be on Oscar night. When I was winning a bunch of awards.

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?

Probably the dark. I'm still not completely okay with it.

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?

Making the bed in the morning, trying to reason with ignorant people, telling my kids to not get dirty, attempting anything more than a ponytail in the summertime, yelling at the dogs to stop barking when I'm trying to sleep

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?

I have a hot pink sweatshirt that says "I Want My MTV" that was my mom's from the early 80s. In a box somewhere, maybe not the closet, I have my grandmother's wedding dress but, I still wear the MTV sweatshirt. Cuz I'm cool like that.

I hope y'all have a great weekend! Seems that Fall has settled into most parts of the country and I'm loving the weather we're getting here in south TX! My fingers are double crossed that the last product for the Kitchen Makeover arrives today. I'm all set to do the reveal so as soon as I get that one item, it's go-time! And then I'm going to sit on my couch and do as close to nothing as possible for several days.

Make it a great day!
