I usually only go grocery shopping once a week. I plan my menu and get everything at once. Sometimes, that means that any fresh veggies I'm planning to use, sit in my fridge for a week or more. There are plenty of times that I have to go get new zuchinni, peppers or other veggies I've had in the fridge because I've let them sit in the bin for a few days too long and they are wrinkly and getting close to being unusable. And then there's the smell. The refrigerator smell, to be exact. We've all... Continue reading ...

GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED
When it comes to cooking, I'm a cook that loves a good shortcut, a short preptime and easily prepared cuisine. I never really thought that kitchen tools made a huge difference in meal preparation. I've been ignorantly content with my mediocre kitchen utensils. It wasn't until I tried a ceramic knife from Vicera that I realized how wrong I had been about what a good kitchen utensil can do for you.Vicera means Beautiful Ceramics. For you and your kitchen it means ceramic cutle... Continue reading ...

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
I love to cook. I really do. And, I'd like to think that I'm a good cook. I have come to realize that cooking definitely takes some talent, is somewhat foolproof and definitely easier when you are using really good cookware. I really used to think that it didn't matter how good your cookware was but, I'm completely convinced now that amazing cookware makes cooking easier, better and more enjoyable. Recently I received a skillet from Xtrema. I now want to own every single... Continue reading ...

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED My 6 year old son has started to show interest in helping with cooking. I've also started to realize that when he helps with dinner he is more likely to eat it! The problem is finding things he can do. My two year old is plenty happy with me having her stir a bowl of water but, my son wants to do a bit more than that. When it comes to helping mom in the kitchen, one of the biggest obstacles is using the cooking utensils. They can be too big and difficult for the child to us... Continue reading ...

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSEDI am not a baker. Really. Practically ever time I bake, something goes wrong. Normally, when I bake, it ends up sticking to the pan or burning on the bottom. I know that one of my problems is my lack of good bakeware. I'm now certain that if I had a cabinet full of Wilton products, I'd be one step closer to being a better baker. The history of Wilton is unbelievably interesting. They are a company that has been dedicated to cake decorating, candy making and teaching ... Continue reading ...

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED
I love soda. It's my weakness. My kids love it too, even though I hate to let them have it. I am aware of how unhealthy it is and know it's a terrible weakness to have. But,Thanks to a wonderful product I tried recently, I don't have to feel so guilty about my soda indulgences! SodaStream is a truly remarkable product. My two main concerns with drinking regular soda are the calories (and sugar content) and the price. SodaStream solves both of those problems while no... Continue reading ...
